Travel Guide For Those Who Wish To Go For A Vacation Or Live In Japan

In rare cases i don't think you will enjoy traveling to Japan if you can't devote tons of hours, days or weeks of your time to learn how to read, write and speak in Japanese.

Beautiful city of Tokyo, Japan

Nowadays most Japanese in Japan only speak Japanese language. Well, this doesn't seem to be much, but it is really so much.

You will need to learn Japanese to enable you to read billboards and signs, have a day to day conversations with people, and the most important is to even get a job or study there.

Japan is really so essential as water nowadays. So the best thing to eeedo if you can change your dream destination probably to Australia, New Zealand or any other English speaking countries though I know others might still choose their dreamland to still situate at Japan, then all you've to do is to sit down and learn some piece of their Japanese phrases.

Ohaiyō gozaimasu, Watashi wa Eiberu desu. This means Good morning, I am Abel.

Note that I changed the spelling of Abel because Japanese usually change English names to suit their tongue.

Since it looks so easy, why does it tends being so hard here?

•Number one, Japanese do not use Latin alphabets at all.

•Number two, the writing system of Japanese is so difficult to adopt.

Japanese has only two writing systems: kana and Kanji. Kana is further divided into two which are; hiragana and katakana while there's just one kanji.

Kana is easy to learn as it is very close to the alphabet system of writing and is kind of constant "what you read is what you pronounce" but kanji on the other hand is just funny

Kanji was copied from the Chinese hanzhi system, several centuries ago before kana was made by a Japanese Buddhist monk, it's like the Egyptian hieroglyphics, but instead of having a nice beautiful awesome drawings, you have some different ugly set of symbols that requires you to decrypt their meanings.

The worst thing about the language kanji is not even how unrelated and silly the characters are to what they mean sometimes, instaed it's about it's unbelievable size.

This funny part of it is that the system has over 5000 characters/radicals and even after learning the 3000 or 2500 average, you will still meet a new one one day. And another annoying thing about the kanji system is it's pronunciation when used in a word, it is hardly ever consistent.

Take this as an example; this character 日 is normally pronounced as 'Nichi', but in this word 日本 it becomes 'Nihon' that's 'Japan'. This looks very easy but what about this 3日, it's pronunced as 'jitsu'. Well you see, this is even difficult than English's most terrible spelling system.

In context to what I've said earlier, if you have two years of spay time, then you can spend it learning Japanese or you can learn language like Finnish, Arabic or even German and later make a trip to these countries. But Finnish tends being the easier language to learn quickly.

Nevertheless, making a trip to an English speaking countries might be of good benefits in education keeping job aspect side.
